Voki

Students are divided in pairs. Each student is required to write a brief description about his/her pair. These pairs will be chosen randomly and it is a secret!

This description must specify the height, colour and length of the hair, eyes colour and his/her likes and dislikes (two of each one).

Each student will have to record his/her description. In the following session, I will play the recordings randomly.

Four groups will be formed and they will have to guess which student has been described after each recording. Cheating is not allowed!

The aim of this activity is making my students improve their writing and listening skills.

Listen and write

Another interesting activity is the one I am going to talk about now.  I will be choosing a text related to recycling and I will record myself while reading it. Afterwards, students will listen to this recording.

When students have listened to the recording once, I will dictate a series of questions and I will let them reflect for a while.

Finally, they will be listening to the recording again and they will answer to the posed questions.

This activity will allow my students to practice their listening abilities.

Wordle

I will start by choosing a text about TICS uses in class and a wordle will be created with some key words of the text. Students must identify these words and predict what the text will be about.

Later on, they will be reading the text and interpreting the meaning of those words they had not understood before.

Finally, a debate about the text will be carried out. They will be divided into two groups. One group will be in favour of TICS in class and the other group of students will be against it. Both groups will have to give reasons to support their view.

Therefore, this activity is intended to develop both reading and speaking skills.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!  I hope you enjoy it and above all, I really expect it to be useful for your Primary lessons.

This blog can be used as a site for sharing our teaching ideas about those resources and tools that we want to practise in class with our students.  Moreover, this blog can also be regarded as a wonderful tool for sharing our experiences and impressions. This way all of us will take advantage of it to improve the teaching-learning process.

I have carefully thought of my lesson plan. It is intended to be highly motivating and productive for my students.
